Week 6 - (Yup Even More) Level Implementation
Hey everyone, Ricardo here!
This was a busy week spent mostly on other projects, so there's little I did this week.
Apart from updating our design document and development plan, we started implementing some levels in the engine!
We have a relatively straightforward system for level creating. The base geometry (the white blocks in the above screenshot) is done using a tileset, making it not only easy and fast to draw, but also facilitating tweaks and changes to the level after testing. The remaining objects are done through prefabs, and with some script variables/configurations to tune to each situation. We have a robust system already in place for creating further levels, so the remaining time will be spent bringing these levels and the world to life.
Until next week!
